Ivan never expected Lei. Lei wasn't ready for Ivan. But fate waits for no one. Can the accept the changes life has in store?
Storm Echo is the latest installment in Nalini Singh's psy-Changeling Trinity series. I loved returning to the Mercant family. They never were really silent so seeing them struggle out side of silence is kinda of fun to see. You would think it wouldn't hit them so hard but it does. And I love the twist that Ms Singh bringsceven as the Mercant's fall. I love that the libe the understands the importance of family still struggles to accept emotions, especially for those not related to them. I love the Ivan is caught so unaware when Lei storms into his life. I love that even as Ivan struggles Lei regains her trust in herself, in pack and in Ivan. I love that a man so alone finds someone who slips past his barriers even before he recognizes the danger.
And Lei...she seems so fragile as she fights her demons. But is she? I loved seeing Lei moved beyond her fear and grief. I love seeing a strong female find her strength beside the man who will die for her. I loved seeing her fight not only for herself but also for Ivan.
This story is a well written addition to this series and I cannot wait to see where Ms. Singh will take us next.

I liked this book and enjoyed the progression of the main storyline with the second arc, but like the latest in the guild hunter series, I didn't really connect to the characters too much. I hope nalini Singh does a better job of connecting characters who will have their own books into other people's stories so it feels like a progression.

I always enjoy coming back into the world of Psy-changeling, especially when it involves more of some of my favorite returning characters, from Lucas Hunter to Ena Mercant. We've seen a ton of the Mercant family during the Trinity run of this series and I've greatly enjoyed every one of their romances. It was exciting to see my suspicion for who the Scarab Queen was come true, although we're still seeing reverberations of her dangerous maneuvers demolishing the PsyNet, and it doesn't look like those will be stopping any time soon. Hopefully the newest connections made across Psy and changeling realms will get us back on track to patch things up though and give our heroes a chance to truly recover from this ongoing war.

OMG what a crazy heart-wrenching and awesome story. this series just continues to get more and more entertaining, intense and the groups just keep getting entwined which i love. Ivan and Soleil were sweet and loving but totally not perfect on paper but then obviously meant to be together.

Storm Echo is book six in the Psy-Changeling Trinity series by Nalini Singh and narrated by Angela Dawe.

As always, Singh delivered another amazing novel. The overall plot and story-arc continues to grow and expand. It’s always a pleasure returning to the Psy-Changeling world.

Storm Echo features Ivan Merchant, a Psy, and Soleil, a Changeling. As we have seen in the books the Psy are cold, but they are starting to warm up and show their softer emotional sides. I love seeing them change and find love. I very much enjoyed the development of Ivan and Soleil’s history and characters. Their romance is magical, heartwarming and a slow-build.

As always the world-building is epic and we get some surprises along the way. Sigh is a master, through and through.

This series is a spin-off of the Psy-Changeling and I’d recommend not starting with the Trinity series. You need the foundation from the first series. There is an overall story arc which carries throughout the series.

Audio: As always Dawe is Brilliant as our narrator. She brings life to the world and characters. Keeps the pace flowing and your senses engaged. I highly recommend the audiobooks for both the Psy-Changeling and Psy-Changeling Trinity series.

Storm Echo was another entertaining listen and I can’t wait to learn who the next couple will be, how things will develop in the world, and with the Psy.

You know what, I will give this the best rating there is cos I devoured it in a day! I listened all the long. I did not stop, I could not stop.

The book gave all the feels. I loved Ivan, cold, merciless, psycho hiding in his brain. But then he meets Soleil, and his soul seems to come alive.'

Soleil is a ray of sunshine. A changeling healer that sees past his cold exterior. She was so kind and sweet and together they made so much sense.

But then they loose each other. And the next time she is sadder and traumatized. And the psy network is falling apart. People are dying. And Ivan is thinking about the thing in his head.

Action, romance, two broken people that will help each other heal. And all the feels! I did not want to stop listening to this story. So amazing. You have to listen to this!

And of course, excellent and wonderful narration by Angela. She pulled out all the stops as always. So much emotion and feeling. I was there with them. The perfect voice for the series. A must listen to.

Ok so I am over the Psy. Can we please see more of the humans and changelings? Also all the "heroes" are starting to blur together can they all stop trying to outdo each other on the "I'm so traumatised but still totally able to love" stakes...Maybe I am getting more cynical but occasionally can these massively traumatised people actually show that they are traumatised? can it cause real friction in their relationships?
The psy bore me a bit I'll be honest. I know this is romance and therefore there is a degree of predictablity is inherent but I felt there was zero suspense in these last few books. The book before this one bored me so much I had forgotten that I had even read it. It was only when I looked up Payal and Canto (because they were mentioned SO MANY TIMES) that I realised I had read their story and had zero memory of it.
I come back to these again and again to this series because I like the world, I like the over-arching storylines and the political moves but this series is at risk of turning into something as predictable as JD Robb's In Death series.
What happened to all that mess with Human Alliance? How about some short stories of "ordinary" psy dealing with the fall of silence, new fears and possibilities and the chaos of the psynet fragmenting? What about the humans who are dealing with the violence of unstable psy ? How is the rest of the world operating while the psy are losing it and the changelings seem to be concerned only with the psy?
