I enjoyed the first half immensely. The second half was lacking a bit toward the middle... But I really felt every emotion with her through this journey. Beautiful. One sitting. Loved it.

I usually don't read poetry and chose this book for the 2025 genre challenge. The title got me, this is not centered around nature!
However, I really enjoy this book. A lot of poems either resonated with me or helped me understand others (for instance, why a woman would stay with a man violent to her?).
This is definitely not the book to pick for some light reading, but it is short, which makes it easy to pause and reflect on whot you read. I caught myself reading the same poem several times in a row because it was so intense that I felt the need to better absorb it.
Highly recommend!
