Why does it feel like the plot movement in this volume could have been accomplished more quickly? I continue to love this series (the characters are so intriguing!) and will keep reading—especially now that the fake family has, in their new neighbors, adopted grandparents for Anya!

Summary:
Twilight is a master spy. By their nature, spies cannot be famous. But Twilight is as close as they come to being famous for his career. His latest assignment requires him to have the perfect family. While he's found the family, he's working on the perfect part…
Every family has antics and dynamics that are considered their norms. Twilight must be careful to ensure that his family continues to act natural and blend in, and that means making friends with the neighbors, getting Anya’s grades up, the works…
Review:
Whew. After that cliffhanger ending, I was biting my nails while waiting for Spy x Family Vol. 13! It was a rough wait, but it was pretty worth it. This volume quickly wraps up all that tension before throwing readers into a few slice-of-life style chapters, which is a refreshing break from all the rushing around.
We’ve been pretty focused on Loid (and how he relates to the family unit as a whole) for a while now, so it’s nice to see what Yor and Anya have been up to. Their stories soothe the heart and bring readers back to the series we’ve all come to know and love.
And yes, there are quite possibly two new characters in the mix. I don’t want to say too much about them, in case they don’t show up again (or worse, there’s some dastardly twist they’re involved in).
Long story short, Spy x Family Vol. 13 was worth the wait, though it likewise gave us a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It's not as painful as the last one, so I’ll take it.

Humor/Comedy
Shonen
Spy/Assassin Family

This volume is perhaps the most anti-war volume outside of volume 10, reflecting on both the survivors of war and what drives people to fight. It's not as cohesive as volume 10 is, ending the Twilight and Yuri battle and allowing them both to reflect on their actions, before wandering about a little with the lovely slice of life segments, including an earnest declaration of friendship from Anya to Damien and our introduction to the Authens, before hitting that message of what it means to be a survivor (and also strengthening the Yor & Melinda friendship) before starting the Academy exams.
The most interesting chapter to me is actually one of the extra chapters, and the way 'Anya' might not be her name, or at least not the correct spelling. It makes me hope we'll see more of Anya's origins at some point.
