I am so into books highlighting the simplicity of heroism and bravery. The writing is so uncomplicated and clear, the story so perfectly proportioned, an instant tiny Christmas classic

This is a short but thought provoking book. It takes place in Ireland in the 80s, where the main character, a father of five girls, grapples with the way the catholic church treats the young girls force to live and work in the convents, and the people in town just letting it happen. 
I do wish the book was just a tiny bit  longer, but all in all a very moving book.
