This was a cute little read. Nothing too intense or emotional to wreck you. That being said, it was also a bit too fast? I really liked how Griffin could visit Emily in her dreams first. I wish there had been a little bit more done with that before he was freed from his curse to run amok in the 21st century. I feel like some things just happened a bit too quick, and then left the rest of the book for too many mundane things.

I really like both Emily and Griffin as characters. As I said, this is a very light and fluffy read. There was still a conflict throughout, but most of the stuff I read has a lot more at stake. I feel like Emily kind of accepted things too quickly, even for a FMC in a romance book. She was also a little unsure of herself in certain situations, but knew her skills and worth. She did everything she could to help Griffin and also make an impression at her new job.

Griffin was all about Emily, which was so nice. Nothing distracted him from the beautiful woman he was enamored with from the beginning. He tried his best to adjust to the new time period he was in while staying true to himself in the process. He did what he could to stop the evil that had followed him to this time period and keep the woman he loved.

As I said, this was just a light and fluffy read. There really wasn't much to dissect or study here. I will probably read something from this author again in the future, especially if I want something super cute.

This was a very cute, lighthearted romance with a lot of medieval silliness. It was a perfect quick read, cute enough to hold my interest and the characters were lovable. Don’t expect the deepest plot or most emotional story but I genuinely loved it anyway. It’s fluffy like cotton candy. The first few chapters did read a little odd—FMC randomly remarks very quickly about how she got turned on by a statue, which feels strange as a reader—but it definitely got a lot better as it went on.

This would absolutely make the sweetest and cutest rom com film. It has all the charm, romance, shenanigans and that perfect magical realism/fantastical element that makes for pure entertainment. I love a little magic and unexplained sorcery in modern times; it really reminded me of Kate & Leopold but with so much more police involvement. There is so much endearing cheese, the kind that feels so genuine and authentic, that it will make you smile and laugh. The emotional arcs weren’t deep by any means but that never took away from the story. In fact, sometimes simple gets the point across so much better and with so much more oomph. I think the emotional battles the characters fight are perfect for the setting and the budding relationship. What a truly fun and sweet read!

This was such a fun book to listen to! The audiobook narrator did a fantastic job capturing the emotions and the characters, especially Griffen.

Our MCs, Emily and Griffen, were so endearing, and while I don't usually love InstaLove, they were so fun and cute. I didn't mind how hard and fast they fell, especially Griffen. This is a fantasy, and I think it works better in fantasy!

This book isn't serious about many things and takes FBI investigations pretty lightly with a humorous tone to everything happening that, in the real world, would be very serious. A statue coming to life was a really fun way for this book to work rather than some time-traveling plot, and I really adored the way Griffen learned about the modern world, and we learned more about his world.

Some of the best parts of this book include Griffen singing in public constantly, him finding a job at Medieval Times, and the criticism of True Crime podcasts, which had me screaming-laughing at times!

This was honestly so lighthearted and a perfect read during some difficult times!

The premise was intriguing but I'm not currently in the mood to read it. I might return to this title later. To be determined.

4.5 stars.

Thank you to Berkley for the eARC and PRH Audio for the free audiobook.

Her Knight at the Museum was just a fun time. Sir Griffin de Beauford has been trapped in a statue for hundreds of years, until new temporary museum curator Emily breaks the spell and breaks him out.

Have you ever seen the Disney movie Enchanted? The scene where the prince attacks the bus? That’s Griffin vibes. He’s thrust into this new world that’s only peripherally seen while trapped, but by god, he gives 100% and dives right in. And Emily? He’s never seen a more lovely woman and he’s determined to woo her.

With surprisingly more spice than I expected, Her Knight at the Museum was a great mix of humor, romance, magic, and steam. It really feels like a spicy Hallmark Movie and y’all know I eat those up. Bryn Donovan is a new-to-me author and I’ll be keeping an eye out for more.
