Absolutely does what it says on the tin and if you’re in the mood for romantic nonsense it’s excellent.

I particularly enjoyed the

I sometimes have problems with the "I am from another time period and somehow I'm now in modern day" books because suspension of disbelief/not focusing on the logistics is hard for me, so I really appreciated when the FMC brought Griffin to get his vaccinations (and at a free clinic on the West Side too!).

Very cute romantic comedy with fun, situational hijinks and a great Chicago backdrop (though I'm still confused why they drove/parked so much in city).

How was it possible that not so long ago, she’d thought this kind of romance was as fake as the cardboard crown on her head? Dreams did come true, lives did start anew, and right in Chicago, she’d found her very own knight in shining armor.

i’ll be honest, the story started out corny, especially when emily started getting tingles in between her legs just because she saw griffin as a statue. mind you, this happened on the first page. i just about gave up then and there.

i’m glad i didn’t though, because the story shaped out to be super cute. i enjoyed seeing griffin learning the ropes in the 21st century, slowly adapting his manner of speaking (which i thought was adorable btw) to the current era to fit in. somehow, she and emily worked out well.

overally, i enjoyed this read! recommended for fans of the knight before christmas and that new netflix snow man turned man christmas flick i forgot the name of.

Very cringe. Babygirl was hot for a statue page 1. I liked Griffin. The whole plot is a miscommunication trope. Andy War-Howl is a terrible dog name.

Got this book for free from Berkley via the romance program and omg I really loved it. It is SO campy. This is a really polished book that bounces between humor and actually seriousness of the magical realism and emotions of our MMC basically processing the trauma of being stuck in a statue for 500 years and our FMC recovering from her divorce and the slight romantic suspense of trying not to get arrested. How they all wrap it up is believable in the sense this author left a surprising lack of plot holes (would’ve overlooked them anyway for how much I liked the vibes) but a really fun journey with some added elements I didn’t see coming. The historian/art restoration of the FMC was such a perfect pairing with this man. There’s just 2-3 spice scenes but they are so fire!! Overall this book just really put me in a good mood every time I picked it up.
