Loved the premise but this book didn't do enough with how full of possibilities the "museum artifacts come alive" plot device is. I've worked at museums and grew up on the night at the museum movies so I've spent some time cooking up exhibits coming alive plots, I just wished this had more of a museum forward plot. The book cover design and title don't fit the vibes of the book to me. A title like Chivalry Isn't Dead maybe.
It's also very much personal preference that I like to get to know characters in books before they get it on. I did think the writing around the Chicago setting was great. And I can believe the author did her research.

This book was a lot! I wasn’t quite prepared for the wild, funky ride this story delivered. That said, it was a lighthearted and fun read that kept me entertained. The last few chapters definitely being the highlight.
If you’re after a plot-driven book, this one might not hit the mark. The characters, while enjoyable in the moment, don’t leave a lasting impression, and the story—though unique—wasn’t something I feel I needed to experience.
Rose: I truly appreciated the thoughtful focus on sexual health, which is rarely addressed in stories like this.
Thorn: I wish we’d seen him as stone for a bit longer, with more emphasis on the quest to bring him to life—it could’ve added more depth to the plot.
