Free ebook from Simon and Schuster. Not something I would normally read. I was interested in the how of this. Still boggles the brain even after reading.

I remember hearing about this on the news and reading articles about it. It seemed so unbelievable, and I tried to imagine how the families felt during such a tumultuous time. This book, which I read in one evening, spells everything out, and I was moved and humbled by the enduring faith of both families. It's an inspiring read, but make sure to have some kleenex handy.

This was a good story! I could not imagine what each of the families had gone through! I don’t know what I would do in that situation.
emotional hopeful sad

Mistaken Identity was a fascinating book! I don’t remember hearing about the car crash in 2006, but this book shared the story in an interesting way. As I watched the mix-up between Laura Van Ryn and Whitney Cerak develop, I couldn’t help but wonder how in the world the families would find out in the end that there was a mistake—and then see how they reacted to it! Although written with care, this story still has many marks of the pain each person felt as they dealt with the tragedy in their own way. Beyond that, the faith of the families—holding them up whatever came their way—was a strong cord that bound this book together. I highly recommend the story if you want a Christian read, or a fascinating non-fiction, or both!

This book will make you cry. But you should read it because these things can happen in real life, after all this is a true story. I remember seeing it on the news, 20/20, etc. Another great example of how faith in God can get you through a hard time.

Someone at work told me I had to read this. Didn't really want to, but I have a hard time saying no.

Their story is truly incredible, and quite possibly the definition of 'bittersweet'. Although it doesn't go into the how it happened, it does an excellent job of chronicling the journey of both families as they lean on God and each other to wait out the storm.

Need plenty of tissue when reading this book. Worth the tears to read it.

Second time through this book, third time through the story. Still in awe of the power of God.
