This story fascinated me. I admire the faith of these two families... I don’t know if I could have stayed so positive in such circumstances. It’s remarkable that this could even happen in this century!

As far as the writing... it’s ok. You read this book for the content, not for the way it’s written.

This book was unforgetable. A true testiment to the values of these families.

It's hard to rate a miraculous book written by authors who praise our wonderful God for his blessings a 3, but I didn't like the way it was written or organized. Overall, the story is amazing and heartbreaking. The families are courageous to write a book sharing the hardest moments of their lives. I think, however, I would have enjoyed reading the actual book more if it had been written by an outsider with a background in storytelling.

Unbelievable story; sad. It was hard to read the first half of the book for wanting the correct parents to find their daughter and for the correct parents to adequately mourn their loss. But, it was an amazing testimoney of God's presence in suffering, and God's people rallying around those who are hurting.

I listened to this on CD in my car over a few days. There were so many things about the families' story that amazed me. It was definitely interesting. I'm not sure how many of my friends would like it because there is a big focus on religion.

Not mush into religion but othere then that this book was good

This was a really great book showing both sides of the Van Ryn/Cerak story. I liked that both families were so involved with the writing of the book so the story wasn't one sided. I can't imagine what they went through but I love how both families found such insperation under such terrible circumstances.

It was an interesting story, but I was a little put-off by the overtly-religious tone. Did I say tone? Maybe I should say jackhammer instead. I love God, but the authors crammed Him down my throat at every given opportunity. I get that the families both give credit to God for holding them up during the horrific events, but I don't need that repeated on every single page. I wanted to get more acquainted with the girls and their personalities, but it was nearly impossible. It was a short and easy read, and I find what happened fascinating, but the book didn't delve any further into the story than the Dateline special I watched (which sparked my interest in the book).
