This book felt like watching one of those quietly tender artsy films about secret queer life in the mid twentieth century. Once I read that the author studied history, I was like “that’s SO beautifully apparent!!”
This was the tenderest spicy book I’ve read. The stories of all three MCs were handled so delicately and beautifully.

I hate using this word but it was a really cozy book.
It's so short, great for a quick read but if you want density then you're not going to find this here. I do really believe this novella would have benefited from expansion. There were some areas that fell short but it has a beautiful energy.
I do love reading trans people writing trans characters though. In that respect, this was so good!! Audrey was by far my favourite character but the entire triad worked really well

No elements of the romances felt developed or justified. Also, you'd think a book where two of the three characters are writers wouldn't suffer from repetitive wording and egregious typos, but you would be wrong. I did appreciate the well discussed boundaries throughout
