Silent Night

This is such a short book, so it was difficult to connect completely with the characters. You have Saint who was in the foster system and was eventually kicked out by his foster parents (nobody knows why or what happened but there were scars on his body if I remember right, so, I'm thinking abuse). He ends up being homeless and stealing from houses to survive. When he is in his teens, he steals from this mansion because he sees a family arguing and running out of the house, leaving the door open. He walks in and steals an expensive artifact but is caught by the daughter who ends up willingly letting him take it because she hates her parents.

Flash forward years later when he's an adult, he is breaking into a different house and long behold he runs into the same daughter (Hayley). It was a new house, and her mom married a new guy in a new city, so it was a coincidence that he runs into her again and she, again, let's him steal presents under the tree. He then gets attached to her and can't seem to leave her. He ends up staying in the shed of her property and keeps showing up to see her (or... 'do her' essentially Lol).

She has a creepy stepbrother who is pretty inappropriate with her there too. I won't say what happens, but it all comes to a head when Saint and the stepbrother get into a fight. This book was really just made to showcase some smut in my opinion. It was so short you didn't get to learn about the characters on any deeper level, but it had a very Haunting Adeline vibe. So, if you want a shortened Christmas version of that, you might enjoy this book.

If you’re looking for a quick read, something dark/spicy for Christmas with stalker vibes, you’ve found it!! While this was VERY spicy

Meh the spice didn’t spice for me.
adventurous dark fast-paced
Strong character development: No

5🌶

This was a fun, smutty romp. It was plot-light, but that's okay; sometimes we need a break from deep thoughts. Saint is a great dark savior archetype, and I'm a sucker for an HEA.

Spice Scale
 〰️ No romantic plot
🤍A dash of romantic plot is there, but mostly handholding. The romance in the title is a blip
🩶A romantic plot is present, but doesn't get past kisses and hugs.
💚 There is some light spice, but closed door
🧡 There are mildly descriptive spicy scenes, but they are finished very quickly and could be easily skipped over.
🤎 Spice is present, very descriptive, but doesn't overwhelm the plot.
🩷 There is a plot, but there are quite a lot of descriptive spicy scenes that are different encounters that span back to back chapters (chapter changes that are just POVchanges do not count).
💜 Plot? There's just enough to get to the next round of spicy times.
