Good premise, okay execution. I found it to be a bit shallow and not very easy to get into the mindset of the characters. I will always be a sucker for second-chance romance, so I am able to look past the shallowness and still like it - it just didn't WOW me.

More like 4.5 stars. They're just such a cute couple....I loved Chris, but most of all Dylan, he's much more human and he does love his kids.

This should be called:
How to make readers feel attached to your characters in only 75 pages , a book by Anyta Sunday
Seriously, as far as short stories go, this was perfect. Light, sometimes funny, sometimes serious, fluffly with a spoonful of angst... An easy, wonderful read for whenever you feel like taking a break from the big tearjerkers.

Short and sweet! The ex-best friends/enemies-to-lovers energy is so good, especially with how the story starts off with a bet whether 500 kisses is really all it takes to steal someone’s heart

this reads like fanfiction and that is not a jab. it literally feels like a fanfiction trope AND THATS VALID

i like anyta's writing -i liked notice me yet? better than this one, and i liked rock better than nmy, but i still likes this one well enough. despite how unrealistic the plot is (i cannot stress enough just how easy it is to NOT kiss someone, especially when you really really don't like them. yes, even if they dare you to. really, super easy), its super fun to read, lighthearted, even though it still has some depth so that you dont not give a shit. you know the vibe? where things MATTER but they're written in a way that doesnt make you want to rip your heart out? like that.

so i liked it! the camp setting was really fun too. really enjoyed it! good for her.

I’ve read this author before. This is a sort mm novella. Main characters are Dylan a summer camp owner and Chris his rich ex best friend and neighbour. Love the title of this book, the idea brought up by the kids at camp is that 500 kisses will steal your heart. Fun, quick read about friends to lovers and second chances with better communication.
