Overall Review:
Swan Song is one of the best post-apocalyptic stories I’ve read/listened to, and it is also one of the best standalone novels I've ever picked up. It is dark, violent, engaging, filled with profound hope and beauty, and extremely worthwhile.
McCammon is absolutely talented and this was my first of his novels and won't be my last. It was a 1000 page behemoth but with his writing style it read like it was only 300. Thank you Mr McCammon for such a treat that I will carry with me and I'm sure to read time and again.

Tom Stetchschulte on Audible really brought this book to life. It was already a fantastic read but he gave the characters so much variety and used emotion appropriately that it was just such a good listen. Highly recommended for audiobook lovers.

Well written, but 90 straight chapters of despair and then wow everything's great makes it kinda a tough read
This is one of those books I wish I could give 6 stars to. One of the most brutal apocalypse books I have read but at the same time there are some really beautiful moments. The character development is superb with some heart wrenching moments. Looking forward to reading this one again.
