Taliah Hibbert gets it right every time! I love Dani and Zafir. This is everything I want out of a rom-com: fake dating, grumpy/sunshine, an MMC who falls first, and the best banter. I’ve read so many amazing books in 2023 and this has quickly risen to the top of the list!

9/10. I liked the first book better but I still really enjoyed this book. The absolute yearning (on both sides!) was very delicious. I pictured Zaf to look like the guy who plays Boorman on the Disney+ version of Willow which was wonderful considering I was very attracted to him and would be attracted to Zaf if he was a real person. In the previous book, I related a lot to Chloe on many levels but for this book, I related the most to Zafir because I am also a romantic who only wants sex with a romantic partner and have anxiety about a lot of things. I loved Dani's bluntness and her discovery of how she is worth allowing someone else to love her. Overall, I highly recommend. (less)

A lovable, witty and temperature-rising romance. Talia Hibbert is quickly becoming my go-to for extra spicy love stories. Her writing is so lively and evocative in this second instalment of the Brown sisters books. She creates singularly unique characters, whose quirks and complexities I couldn't help but fall in love with.
