This is a great dark shifter story. Seneca lives in a shifter community where a new alpha has taken over. He has her in his sights and is just waiting for her first shift. She goes through a lot before she finally recuses herself along with the help of her fated mate.

Dark romance, paranormal shifting, and of course spice that matches. Found the protagonist to be like-able but the main love interest, specifically the way he treats the FMC’s trauma was not for me. It was patched up by saying he didn’t know it was so recent and while he owns the fact that he should have asked questions sooner, it seemed forced. If you’re not a fan of miscommunication tropes this is not the book for you. Redemption for it could be found in the way she is able to heal from her trauma and take her revenge by the end of the book.

Great, quick read
This was exactly what I was looking for, something quick and steamy, but still with a good plot and written well. I love everything Raven Kennedy writes. I would have liked to know more and Tyran's back story, maybe see a bit more of their relationship grow emotionally together, but that didn't affect my rating at all. It was a great story of growth and retribution
