Eh

We finally get a glimpse into Clara's childhood. Even with that, I can't bring myself to like her. More and more with each book, her character is just getting worse; there's no growth.
That said, the book itself was alright. The story progressed fairly well, and we finally have something different going on, a concrete goal for our characters.

This book was a wild ride that kept me turning the pages wondering what would happen next!

At times the FMC got on my nerves just a tad, but overall I loved this book, and her journey.

The romantic tension between Clara and the Prince is off the charts in these books, and I was so pleased that the ultra slow burn finally had some pay-off (even if it was only a kiss).

Some more answers about Clara's past were revealed, and I felt like I connected to her even more because of her childhood.

𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑰 𝒆𝒏𝒋𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕: dual POV, all the tension, the kiss, memories returning, the Wild Hunt, he defends her, she's finding her place.

💢 𝙏𝙒𝙨: slavery (servitude, but not), memory loss, violence, gore, nightmare creatures, DV (memories, one scene on page)
