Holy shit I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored reading a book before. I really wanted to like this, but the writing wasn’t for me. It was painful. DNF’d around 15% of the way in.
Closer to 3.5 stars...
This seemed like an interesting mix of Perfect Blue (movie) and Winter Wood (book), but I wish the plot could have been streamlined and the characters better developed.

This was a very enjoyable read, but towards the end I did find myself having to push a bit to finish it. Yet when I was actually reading, it wasn't always what I expected which was great. The FMC did make a couple of stupid choices which made me go O_o but overall I like it. Glad I read it.
i don’t care what people think, it got me out of my slump
This book was a hard one to read. The pacing was slow and the writing felt disjointed and gaped. On a practical note I think it was suppose to be that because of the context of the story but it made it hard to read. Only go into this one if you are able to stay focused.
On a better note, this gave Ninth House vibes minus all the disgusting shock value garbage. So if you want the dark academia minus the crap this is a good one.

the only reason i didn’t get to five stars on this was because i never had a single clue about what the hot fuck was going on. maybe that was reader error idk but this was really good and the romance oh my GOD!!!!! top tier. just don’t expect to understand the plot bc wtf
