Fake dating, childhood friends to lovers, pro football player pining over curvy girl next door... yeah, right up my alley!!!

“Yes, you’re mine, and I’ve waited a long time for you... So be a good girl and kiss me again like you know you belong with me.”

Trixie is a bad bitch, first and foremost! Amy Award did such a great job at creating a confident, plus size baddie, even while facing criticism from others! It's refreshing to read about a plus size girl who doesn't have some sort of trauma with her parents, honestly! It's usually the mom who's always throwing some sort of shade at the fmc for being "too fat" or for not fitting into a size 4, but Trixie's mom wasn't what I expected, and I loved their relationship! Of course, you always have your bullies, and fuck them, but the fmc in this book is admirable!
(and she's freaky as helllllll. LOVE!)

NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP, I repeat, NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP!

This was more than I was expecting! I didn't go into this book, looking to take it too seriously, but this is really heartfelt and hits you in the feels at the right moments! The writing was okay for me. I was looking for a fluffy read, and it gave exactly that. Sometimes, it was a bit much and made me cringe, but, the vibes were there, and made me laugh!

"I swallowed... Does that mean I'm not a vegan anymore?" - The way I actually laughed out loud at this!!!!

I do wish there was a little more angst between the main characters, just because he was pining over her for a LONG time, and I wanted this man to get on his hands and knees and beg for her LOL but that's just me. The romance was still so good and heartfelt!

"I've lusted over this woman for so long, I needed her to want me back" - EEEEEEEEK

Funny and quick read.  3 stars for the easy read one extra star for that first chapter and the chicken names; Luke skycocker, Rylo Hen, Princess Lay-a, and Chew bock-bock.
funny medium-paced

I can't get over the male lead having bought out half his neighborhood and that's treated as a normal thing that a human might do.

Also the last 25% was distressing, and honestly pretty preachy rather than plotty.

Vegan, plus size, Taylor Swift fan fmc ✔️✔️✔️

This was such a heartwarming read. I love a cinnamon roll hero who is just GONE for his heroine. Chris has been in love with Trixie forever. The way he loves her is just incredible.

The fat phobia is handled so well in this book. Trixie's feelings are so relatable and her journey to acceptance and body positivity is beautifully written.

And no third act breakup made this a win win for me. I enjoyed the Weiner Across the Way, but Chris and Trixie have my heart. Definitely looking forward to the next in series.

It was fun and a solid read until the final act.
I really don’t think the leaked non consensual porn video was necessary. Like I’m pretty sure filming someone without consent and then posting it is a crime.
The ending part just kinda ruined it for me.
