Laura had me at 'Deadpool' references. I've missed her books and her writing something fierce and I'm so happy to have her books back gracing my ereader once again. Fighting the Fire is funny, steamy, and full of heart, everything I love about reading Laura Kaye's writing.

Sean and Dani are heroes. Not only war veterans, but Dani is an ER nurse and Sean is a firefighter. They have been frienemies for the past few years, but several months ago they crossed a line and added benefits to that status. It was only one night, but that tension is still strung tight and all of their friends still notice something is cooking between them. If only they could settle whatever that is, because their frienemy status is messing with both of their heads.

When Sean has an accident Dani is there to help him out, stepping up for reasons she can't really explain, but during his recuperation, she learns more about the man behind the snark and sarcasm. It turns out she likes him more than she should, but that is a huge problem, she promised never to fall for anyone again. Sean has a dangerous job so no matter how much she likes him, she can't fall for him, she won't lose anyone ever again.

The Marvel references, the heros, the great cast of characters, and most importantly the love these two find for each other in the depth of their loneliness is why I love Laura Kaye. I missed her amazing books while Laura was recouping, but I couldn't be more pleased with how Fighting the Fire turned out and I'm so happy to see the WFC club back and stronger than ever!

You need to read Fighting the Fire. You need to devour Fighting the Fire. You need to dissect the words of Fighting the Fire. It may be fiction but so much of it is something people can identify with. Empathize with and learn from.

I don't often get to say I can totally identify with a character. In some ways I am that character.
The author got Dani's grief, a grief that many have gone through, are going through. I felt the struggles. I understood the struggles. I rejoiced in her happiness. Dani deserved happiness.

Dani's happiness revolves around acceptance. It is time to say goodbye to her past. It is time to open her heart to another. Lucky for her Sean is there waiting. She just needs to open her eyes and her heart. Get ready for some super swoony moments. In so many ways their actions are much better than words.

I love the dynamics within the WFC. The guys all have different struggles. They still get each other. They need each other. They have their demons that they struggle to conquer. They support each other.

What I like most about the books is how the author reminds me that I have not lived the lives and struggles of military personnel. I need to respect them. I need to empathize with them. I need to appreciate them and support them. I am grateful for every book in the Warrior Fight Club.

In the final novel of her Warrior Fight Club series, Laura Kaye has struck gold again.

Returning to the the world where former military men and women who may suffer from PTSD, they find comrades with each other in Warrior Fight Club.

The latest book follows Daniela and Sean, who had a brief encounter but then went on to have a frienemies type relationship. When Daniela, an ER nurse, witnesses Sean, whom is a firefighter, getting into an accident she goes on to help Sean recover and along the way she finds out there is so much to the guy she had so many assumptions about and Sean knows there's sparks between the two of them but Daniela has her own demons that she must conquer before she can even consider any type of future with someone.

This book is great in the realistic aspects that are discussed by our military and the effects and traumas they face returning home to civilian life, and combining it into a romantic story in which these people, whom may think themselves beyond love or too damaged, find their happily ever after.

Laura Kaye is back and in fire.

One night. Was it a mistake or was it not enough? There are many kinds of battle wounds and not all of them you can see. Demons that continue to hunt long after the deed has been done. Warrior Fight Club helps give those that have served a safe way to battle those demons in a way they can only understand.

Sean and Dani gave into the passion and dance around it didn’t happen. Their banter and barbs were as good as their sparring matching. They both felt so deeply in everything they did. And that made watching these two dance around their attraction very entering. They both felt so much on a soul deep level. In many ways Sean and Dani are very alike. Both have previous military careers in both of them having jobs in service that put themselves on the line for the needs of others. Dani was loyal to the soul level. Her devotion is something to be proud of. Sean Was a wonderful hero. He had this unique mix of just enough alpha, a dash of cockiness with some vulnerability. I loved Dani and Sean together!
It still amazes me how much Laura Kaye can make you feel so much while reading.

Fighting the Fire took a long road to make into the reader's hand. I am so grateful the Ms. Kaye was able to overcome the trials it took to get Sean and Dani’s story. Fight the Fire will hit you in the heart, make you feel and smile at the ending.

I’ve been waiting a long time to read this one and the story did not disappoint. I loved the connection between the characters and catching up with the couples from the previous books . The story was well paced and I was embedded in the story right from the beginning. I would recommend reading these books in order but it can be read as a standalone.

I was a little scared to tip-toe back into the WFC world after such a long break, but quickly learned those fears were completely unnecessary. Laura Kaye is back with a writing style that is as riveting as ever. Dani and Sean's intense frenemies sparks have been flying for years, and I was thrilled to see them delve past those snarky layers. The friendship that developed between the couple, thanks to movie marathons (Deadpool! YES!), was so much fun to read. I loved watching how these two "helpers" cared for one another, and really appreciated how the issues of difficult childhoods and grief were addressed. Fighting the Fire proved to be a super sexy-and deeply emotional-read that I look forward to reading again!

Well, this has been a highly anticipated book for me because I have read pretty much everything Laura Kaye has written and I very much love her books.

When this book hit my Kindle I just had to read it right away and I am so happy I did love it. I love the story, the writing and the characters very much,

Fighting The Fire is the third and final book in the Warrior Fight Club series. The books can be read as stand-alone but I find it is best to read them all in order because you get to see more of the previous characters.

I give this book 5 out of 5.
