Oh my god. I don’t even know if I can write a proper review for this book through the tears. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a happy ever after ending but those last few chapters were a roller coaster of emotions and the love between Jagger and Paisley was something else.

Eyes Turned Skyward brings us Jagger’s story, who I absolutely was already obsessed with in the brief introduction we got in Full Measures. And he did not disappoint. His humor and sarcasm mixed with his obsession with everything Paisley was perfection.
Paisley has been through so much and seeing her still trying to seize the day even if it was for the wrong reasons, was so inspiring. Didn’t love the way her and Will ended but it was clear to me that they weren’t meant to be, Jagger was it for her.
I loved the plot and pacing of this book way more than the first. Less miscommunication (both had secrets yes) more trust and just more connection between them overall.
This series is quickly becoming my new obsession and knowing that broody Grayson is coming up has me pumped.

This book really didn’t take flight for me until the last third of the book but I really enjoyed Jagger and Paisleys relationship. I cried and laughed throughout this novel.

This is one of Yarros’s earlier books. She is definitely not as advanced in her story telling, emotional  destruction  as her more recent books, but as a contemporary romance goes, it’s fine. Better than a lot of them.

I know a lot of people bag on her for her military focus. But it IS what she knows. Both as a second gen military brat, and married a man in the military. She knows this.

The emotional toll military families pay, in terms of absence, worry, and living on after the ultimate sacrifice is foreign to most Americans because of our voluntary military, or  because we don’t know families where generations have served in peace time and war.

The commitment and belief these families have for serving the US constitution does not deserve the bagging that it, and this author has received.

this one was just the sweetest!!!

i liked jaggers character in book 1 so i was excited for his story and it didn’t disappoint :)

also felt like this book just had a little more depth to the plot that made it more interesting than the first one

the dual POVs made it so much easier to connect with and follow their story as they fell in love and their personalities went together so perfectly
