⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This is the perfect book to give to students who loved The Inheritance Games and City Spies. Ross, whose family is a widely known group of thieves, is invited to play in a high-stakes game called the Thieves’ Gambit just as her mother is kidnapped during a job gone wrong. Thinking that winning the game is the only way to save her mom, Ross goes in with her family motto in mind: “trust no one”. But the game turns out to be one where alliances are everything, and nothing is as it seems. This one will be a series, and I think readers in grades 7+ will love it.

Thank you NetGalley for the advance copy.  What a fun, fast paced read.

I think this will appeal to kids who like action and competition style stories. I just could not get into it- but I can see the appeal of being like super-thieves.
