This was fantastic. Intriguing plot, politics, worldbuilding, and character development. It had the works.

I also loved Kinch's narrative voice and humor.

Pros:
- Excellent world-building
- Original characters
- Funny dialogue
- Surprising things happen. This book is hard to predict, which is it's strongest feature

Cons:
- The book lacks a main narrative. Characters travel and experience things but don't have a driving force behind them. I still don't know what the main plot is.
- Character development is weak. Outsider the main character, everyone is pretty one-dimensional.

But I am curious for part two.
