Pros:
- Excellent world-building
- Original characters
- Funny dialogue
- Surprising things happen. This book is hard to predict, which is it's strongest feature

Cons:
- The book lacks a main narrative. Characters travel and experience things but don't have a driving force behind them. I still don't know what the main plot is.
- Character development is weak. Outsider the main character, everyone is pretty one-dimensional.

But I am curious for part two.

This was a fun fantasy. The narrator is a cheeky young guy and had a fun voice. Liked the idea that his love interest was actually the older witch from earlier in the book. Would read a second one.

extremely inventive, adventurous and funny!! felt like a great d&d campaign. world-building is amazing! one small problem I have with this book is that I didn’t really believe in the romantic aspect of it, felt forced a bit. but overall great!
