I wish the entire book could have just been the Children of Kali doing what they felt was necessary with cuts to others reacting. What we got instead felt lacking both plot and character development.
While it is a little flawed, I was still tempted to give it 5 stars.
It's a book about the fight for a better future, a book about so many of climate changes' intricacies.
The economics, the sociology, the war...
It's a truly important read.
There should be more books like this.

One of the best books that I didn’t particularly enjoy reading — not because of the obviously devastating themes but because it was a lot of tell rather than show. And you learn so little of the characters, they really just serve as plot devices.
But that’s fine. The book is best thought of as a thought exercise, and I very much enjoyed the discussion of central banking and money in a future world wrecked by climate change.

DNF. A series of environmental essays masquerading as fiction. When I want to read factual information about climate change, I go to a good nonfiction book. I am not fond of being lectured to by a novelist.

I couldn’t finish this because it was too poorly written.
Amazing story, sucks you in from the start. If you're into science and apocalyptic scenarios this is a great book.
