I really really wanted to like this but I just didn't. :/

I can’t remember the last time I cried reading a book. Gut wrenching, and unlike the Millennium trilogy, it doesn’t have a happy ending

This book is short, but it's quality over quantity. It's written as if you're sitting in a cafe drinking coffee (COFFEE!) with Eva and spending a long afternoon chatting about her love. If you have read any of the Millennium Trilogy, this is worth reading as you will gain greater insight and appreciation into those three books. The only shortcoming is - this book was too short! I was left wanting more!

I have read articles on his background that were more interesting, but this was worthwhile to read as a fan of the books.

So interesting to hear about Stieg Larrson's life and how the trilogy came to be and to also learn a little more about Sweden. I was inspired by their activism, desire for truth and motivation to support so many causes. I'm glad Eva wrote this, she needs to be heard (trying not to be a spoiler).

An understandably righteous read, written simply.

Eva presents a loving and moving portrait of Stieg - and enables a better and deeper understanding of how the Millennium series was crafted. Sad to hear about the family idiocy after his death, but hope that one day book 4 will be published.

This is a difficult book to review because I feel so much sympathy for Eva. It might deserve a lower rating as far as writing goes, but I'm interested in Stieg Larsson and the Millenium Trilogy, so I enjoyed it. Also, his father and brother are monsters.

it's sad that she felt she had to write this book and really that's about the best thing about it. it's not well written. she mostly manages to sound whiny and there are too many exclamation marks. really, don't bother reading it, just feel bad for her and know that there's more to stieg larsson than the milennium series (which is obvious from that series). whatever.
