I caught myself skipping paragraphs .. I guess I see that the author was trying to get you into the characters by putting in such backstory but we all knew barely any of them would survive .. they started off making bad horror movie decisions but Ryan saved it I think going full warrior toward the end. I find it hard to believe she went into shock at the end though ending up back at a cabin was a quality horror ending
