It was read super weirdly. Uncomfortable pauses that were totally out of place kind of weird
I adored Madeline. All the girls were adorable. I remember watching the videotapes editions and reciting the intro of the 12 little girls in 2 straight lines. I wrote some of my first fanfiction about these books. Weird.
Madeline is a classic story about a little girl, Madeline, away at boarding school when something goes wrong and she must go to the hospital. This tale is beautifully drawn and switches between two art styles: a simplistic one with limited colors and a much more details and extremely colorful one. Almost every character in this book is female since the main cast is the students and employees of an all-girls boarding school. The rhyme scheme is cohesive and holds the attention of little ones. The tale teaches that doctors aren't always as scary as they seem and you should always be there for the ones you love.
Enjoyed it as much as I did as a child. Looking forward to reading Camila the sequels, too.
Aw, "In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines"... Such nostalgia!
