Have you ever read a series where every book is five stars? Because I have, and it was this one.

Scorch. Stack. Salt. Gage Porter is one of our KORT crew and, even though every time a new lady comes into the family he greets them with his usual grump self, he has been one of my favorites. Now imagine my surprise when I hated him for the first thirty percent of the book. You see, like all the others, Gage has a past. The difference is he actually gets to come face to face with his past when Ty brings Ainsley into his women’s shelter on the land of the family’s French chateau. Ainsley is the love of Gage’s life, or at least she was before he got erased and she got married… to another man.

As we know though, appearances aren’t quite what they seem and even though Gage is living life feeling like a picture is worth a thousand words, we all know that not every word speaks the truth. After MUCH angst, anger, and hate spice, Gage and Ainsley find themselves sharing truths and sharing a bed once more. Now, if you’ve read the first three books (which I hope you have otherwise you’re probably confused as hell), you know this is just about the time that Gage has to claim Ainsley and present her to the rest of the KORT chairs. But Ainsley isn’t like the other girls and she has her own agenda and demands. Then shit hits the fan. I can’t tell you anything else, this is one you have to EXPERIENCE first hand and you can’t know even an ounce of what happens once they leave the first KORT meeting.

This book was sensational. I hated one of my favorite MMCs for the first thirty percent and then spent the last fifteen ish percent of the book in tears. Happy tears and sad tears. Brandy threw in some “a few years later” and both times it absolutely killed me. Then the drop of what comes between chapters thirty-four and thirty-five? I mean I knew it was coming because I begged Brandy to tell me it was happening two books ago, but I was not ready. Still not ready to say goodbye to these guys.

I am so sad this is over. Why couldn't Brandy just write out every minute of the rest of their lives forever for me?? I knew I would love Gage's book going into this, but I did not realize how in love I would be by the end. This story was perfectly unhinged, just like our main characters. While I've loved every playlist she's curated for this series, this one was top tier. I've been listening to it for a week on a loop dreaming of being part of their little family crew. The first three in this series were in my top reads of last year and this one will be too! So thrilled to read this ARC and getting to immerse myself in Brandy's wonderful world of KORT. Here's to waiting for the Noires' series!

 Scratch. Stack. Salt.

'Charring Bones' is an intense and emotional finale to the KORT series, for which nothing could have prepared me. It's a rollercoaster of revenge, redemption, and second chances, making an unforgettable read.

Gage and Ainsley’s relationship is filled with heartbreak, longing, and undeniable chemistry. Once broken and seeking vengeance, Gage is now an unstoppable force, while Ainsley fights to reclaim her power. Their push-and-pull dynamic keeps the tension high, and their journey together is both brutal and beautiful.

Brandy's writing is stunning, weaving together raw emotion, action, and sizzling romance. The found family element adds depth to the story, proving that bonds forged in fire can be just as strong as blood. The twists are unexpected, the pacing is gripping, and the spice? Absolutely top-tier!! 🔥

This book is a phenomenal conclusion to an incredible series. If you love dark romance with morally gray heroes, fierce heroines, and high-stakes drama, you must read this story.
Thank you Brandy, for this unforgettable journey. I’ll miss this world and these characters, but I'm so excited about the next series!

I love this series so much

⭐️ ARC Review ⭐️
5⭐️

I don’t even know where to start with this review?! A beautiful ending to a beautiful series. As always Brandy Hynes gave us a 5 star BANGER! I laughed, I cried (multiple times), I gasped, I blushed-Gage has got a MOUTH. 🫠 It’s an intense enemies to lover and second chance all rolled into one. I am so incredibly sad that this ride is over, but I can’t wait to see what Brandy does next.

Gage is the head enforcer for the KORT Cabal. He’s a man of action and few words. He does the dirty work in the shadows, but that’s where he feels the most himself. After always being thrown aside he knows who he is and what he offers. It’s not rainbows and fairytales is blood and carnage and vengeance.

Ainsley is a mafia princess, but there is nothing princess like about her. She is fire and venom. Even though her father and her husband tried to break her, but she knew deep down she was stronger, she was a fighter. She just needed someone to fight with and fight for. A found family willing to walk through the fire with her.

From one lifetime to another these two seem to always find each other. Their souls are connected in a way that will always have one seeking out the other. In light, in darkness, on Earth or beyond.

Thank you Brandy Hynes and WordSmith Publicity for allowing me to be a part of this team, it is a true honor. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

An epic conclusion to a thrilling series.

Omg this book was off the charts fantastic! It was action packed, super spicy, utterly heartwrenching and heartwarming.
This series was brilliantly written with an ingenious plot and a cast of characters that will forever live in my heart and mind rent free. Brandy Hynes definitely solidified herself as one of my go to authors with this series.
I couldn't get enough of this book. Gage and Ainsley were a whirlwind of passion, stubbornness, fiery attraction and unhinged behavior and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Their love was filled with so much tragedy that my heart hurt for them but their journey of rediscovery was sweet and scintillating.
Oh and the chemistry between these two was a raging inferno and so explosive. I loved both Gage and Ainsley. Gage was a sweet, thoughtful softie wrapped up as a sexy tough guy. Ainsley was strong and fierce and a total baddie especially in light of everything she had gone through. These two were definitely perfect match.
How everyone accepted Ainsley and welcomed her into their found family warmed my heart. I absolutely loved the support and love this group had for each other.
The plot was fast paced, and thrilling,  it was like an action movie unfolding.
I fell in love with this series and characters and I am sad that it has come to an end but I am excited for what is to come from this talented author.

What a way to end a series…

Gage gets a blast from his past when he discovers the most recent woman rescued and protected in their shelter is none other than the woman who betrayed him in his past life. Before he was Gage, the KORT enforcer, he was Josh the mafia soldier. And Ainsley was the mafia princess he fell in love with. She's also the reason he hasn't been able to trust woman with very few exceptions.

Ainsley thought Gage had died while away in the military years ago. So imagine her shock when she see's him again years later. Calling it a tense reunion would be a mild way of putting it. She's been battling her own struggles all alone while trying to find a way out. She's tired of being used and abused.

Both of them are harboring quite a bit of hard feelings, guilt, betrayal, injustice, and a begrudging love for each other even after all this time. They are all trying to get to the bottom of who is out to get her after what she did to get free. Gage and Ainsley have a long way to go to work through all their issues to get to the other side in whatever way that may be.

These two were intense and I loved every minute of it. I loved seeing how it all started with them, how things went so wrong, and how they faced their feelings to find the truth of what really happened. I'm not ready to let this series go because it's just so good. But at the same time is wrapped up in such a great way with looks into where everyone ended up years down the road. I can't wait to see where this world will go with the Noire brothers next. And I can totally see myself reading this series over again.
