Oh my god!! This sequel is the best!
I had no idea where the plot was going after the first book ended on a cliffhanger, but it brought on more drama and plot twists. More details are discovered about Fable’s family history and about the crew on Marigold.

Saint surprised me and I think he is one of the most wholesome characters I’ve read so far. He is deep and he feels everything in a very intense way. His grief for Isolde is eating him up, his love for his daughter made him push her away and keep her a secret so no one could use her against him or hurt her. His trust is very hard to get and his vengeance is even worse.
He is smart and cunning.

By the end of the book I was so happy I was going home, otherwise I would have grabbed my phone instantly and called my dad to tell him I love him.

The first impression is that the mother-daughter relationship between Isolde and Fable is what shaped Fable. But by the end of this book you’ll see how much of Saint there is in Fable and how much love there is between them.

I liked the love interest and their relationship but nothing tops a father-daughter story for me.

Fable gave up on Saint. She had West, Marigold and the crew. Now that they were all free they could sail away at their own leisure without doing anyone’s bidding.

Just as Fable was getting her happy ending she gets kidnapped. One of Saint’s enemies discovers her true identity. While captured aboard the Luna, Fable meets a ghost she thought was dead. At least that’s what Saint said, but she is starting to learn that she can’t trust a word that comes out of her Father’s mouth.

Fable is back to square one. Digging up buried truths and skeletons in her parents closets. She soon leans that living up to her family name isn’t going to be as simply as she thought.

My heart was in my throat the entire book. There was never a dull moment. We finally got answers to questions from the first book. What I love about this book is that when you think you know what is going on, you flip the page, and it turns out you knew nothing.

The storyline kept me guessing. It was mystical, layered, and plot-driven. And the way the author describe the sea, boats, gems and towns is down right artistic.

I can not express my love for this book enough. I love the story and how the characters evolve and change. I love the way it’s written, with detail and the way it’s giving you a perfect description of what’s going on. No lazy sentences or mediocre lines. It’s not only beautifully written but a great story as well.
