Bravo Sally!
Being completely candid it did take me a while to get into this at the beginning (switching to audiobook helped a lot) but once you invested it’s hard to put down.
Sally has a way of writing characters that makes you care for them and see them as actual humans, despite what flaws they may have.
Last quarter of this book is actually flawless and some of my favorite reading from anything I’ve consumed this year.

didn’t enjoy this book unfortunately. really liked Ivan as a character and think it explored grief well but that’s about it. Not really much of a plot to it and found it very boring and predictable. Shame really I do like Sally Rooney and I’d seen good things about this book.
