I love the Princess in Black and I enjoyed that this one included science and teamwork... And of course a hint at the new heroes coming...

What do you do when a volcanic science project morphs into a sticky monster that threatens to eat everyone at the Interkingdom Science Fair? If you're the Princess in Black and the Princess in Blankets, you use your brains, your brawn and a few royal friends to tote that giant monster to the entrance of Monster Land and banish him forever. As with the other titles in the series, the sixth installment is action-packed, hilarious, and a celebration of bravery and perseverance. The last chapter ends on a cliffhanger that will have fans clamoring for book seven.

My daughter just finished reading this one to me. Just as hilarious and amazing as the others! We love this series!

This series continues to delight and basically be perfect every time. I loved, loved, loved other princess getting to help and the little hint we got that maybe there will be princesses in disguises in future books.

Yet another cute picture book featuring Princess in Black, Princess in Blankets, various flower princesses, and the Goat Avenger.

Though not as relentlessly adorable as some in the series, it's another winner. However, I feel we might be taking things a step too far by giving the rest of the flower princesses secret hero names and disguises as well. Feels like a bit much. But these being best-selling, I guess I'd expect nothing less than milking them for all they're worth.

Besides the applied science aspect of the story, I especially liked how the volcano monster was treated. They're treated fairly and humanely. They're given a new home. The whole thing ends up being a huge character development boost for the monsters in this series.
