i really did try to read this book. i need to say that. i love percy jackson but lately . . . the books aren't that well written. I procrastinated even putting this book in my shelf bcuz from the start something felt off. no hate to anyone who does enjoy this book though; i think there was a time when i would have loved it, but something about the new trilogy makes it seem like a cash-grab to me

It took me 6 months to get through. I usually love Rick's writing but this was a little boring for my usual taste.
I did cry about Ganymede more than once so I'll give Richard that. I'd really love it if there was a YA book about Ganymede and the abuse he suffers.
