Nedense hafızamda yer etmişti, fakat türkçe çevirisi olmadığı için bulup okuyamamıştım.Kitabın yazarı [a:Mo Yan|121407|Mo Yan|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1349980514p2/121407.jpg] 2012 Edebiyat Nobel Ödülünün sahibi olduktan sonra, en önemli kitabı olan Kızıl Darı Tarlaları türkçeye tercümesi yapılarak bizim kitabı okuma fırsatımız oldu.
Öncelikle kitabın girişi gayet çekici ve bağlayıcı, ortada bir köy var ve bir ailenin bu köydeki ilişkiler bütününü, Japon-Çin savaşındaki tutumlarını macera,gerilim,dram,komedinin içiçe bulaşmışlığı ve öykünün en doruk noktası ile zihnimize nufüz etmeye çalışmaktadır fakat ilerledikçe her bünye için çok mükemmel bir eser olabileceğini söyleyemem okurların yorumlamada bölünmesi kesinlikle söz konusudur.Okurların belirli bir birikime sahip olması gerekir. Eğer kesin fikrimi sorarsanız, kitap hakkında biraz araştırma yaptıktan sonra okuduğunuzda farklı tarzda yazılmış bir kitap ile karşı karşıya geldiğinizi göreceksiniz.

So beautifully written and poetic due to the nature of the source language. I could really envision the whole story play out. But it was also very graphic and violent and I couldn’t read it before bed.

Red Sorghum provides an unflinching look at rural China in the 1930s, where bands of marauders, Japanese soldiers, and packs of wild dogs are all vying for the title of most vicious Sorghum Lord. Plentiful in disturbing images, this novel gripped me for the full 359 page ride. At times laugh-out-loud funny, relentlessly and unhesitatingly brutal, with a weird twisted love tale of the narrator’s grandparents, Red Sorghum is one of the best novels I’ve read in awhile.
Some may find the narrative style difficult. The story is non-sequential and told in flashbacks. I found the lives of the parents and grandparents of our narrator incredibly gripping and easy to place in time, others may or may not have the same experience as the style is admittedly quite unique.
