This is one of my all time favorite movies, so I had high expectations for the book. Seems like the magic of the movie lies in the screenwriter though, because the source material was just a let down. Especially after reading the Princess Bride earlier this year and loving how closely the book matched the movie.

The characters and entire storyline just seemed under developed. I kept waiting to feel something magical... And all I felt was disappointed.

I was too young to read the book but remember loving the 2007 movie adaptation so I can’t wait to rewatch it. Loved the book.

Pensaba que no, pero al final lo he disfrutado bastante. De nuevo es un libro de Neil Gaiman que me pasa un poco sin pena ni gloria, pero como es cortito y la historia no está mal, pues ha sido una buena lectura.
Pero lo cierto es que creo que el autor no es para mi. Mucha gente le adora y yo no consigo que sus libros me calen. Alguno que otro me gusta, pero sin llegar a encantarme, como ha sido este caso.
Una historia de hadas con sus toques oscuros y que rompe un poco con lo establecido. También tierna en muchos puntos. Pero aún así, se va a quedar ahí para mi, en una lectura agradable sin más.
