If you ever wondered what it takes to be an astronaut, this book will tell you. What's nice about the story is that Massiimino is not the most likely person to be flying into space. He is smart, but not genius level. He is afraid of heights. He isn't a top-gun flying ace. Yet, somehow he made it, not once, but twice! A fun and inspiring read.

Great book. And he narrated it himself and did a wonderful job. It was very interesting and funny and not too technical and detailed where it might have bored me. And then I saw him on Big Bang Theory!

This was the best book I read this year. I recommend it! It's a great story of hard work and perseverance, the realization of dreams, and the importance of enjoying the journey and every moment in life; and to top it off, a great book to understand NASA's history, its role in contemporary America, and the future of space exploration.

Having an interest in space and space travel and being a Long Islander, I figured I'd give this book a read. I could not have loved this book more, I'm so glad I picked it up!

The author brings us through his life chronologically, on his way to become a NASA astronaut. I found his life story inspiring!

I also loved all the detail put into the chapters where he talks about the two Space Shuttle missions he flew on, STS-109 and STS-125. After I read the books I watched the hour long recap videos NASA produced about each mission.
