This book was just okay for me. Based on the hype, reviews, and even the cover, I expected more. The concept was interesting, but at times I found myself a little confused with the way the story unfolded. I thought it would grip me more than it did. While it had potential, it didn’t quite meet the expectations I had going in.

A true page turner. This book is really clever…a crime happens and then each day she wakes up back in time trying to figure out how to stop it from occurring. Time travel usually confuses me leaving me with too many unanswered questions. So I am really impressed with this authors ability to tell this story and have all the pieces fit together for a satisfying conclusion.

It took wayyyy too long to give any answers. I was too committed to stop but I was done reading it when I got about halfway. Exhausting to get through !

This book had been on my radar long before I started reading a lot more. However, I decided to pick it up for the Goodreads challenges. It's a bit out of my comfort zone, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
There were definitely moments that I was lagging through this book, but it usually resolved itself pretty quickly. I think it's the way this is formatted with the days and perspective shifts. It works pretty well. It's a little polarizing at first, but I adapted pretty quickly.
I will say I don't love mysteries/thrillers because of how stupid they make the reader feel. While I didn't feel that intensely, the way the twist dropped made me double back. It was so casual? Maybe it's my understanding of the genre, but I thought it would be bigger. The only reason I'm confident is because of my understanding of story structure.
The characters are nice, not perfect by any means, but likable enough. I don't want to say some of their actions are unrealistic, but they made me question what I would do. Because I don't think it would be what Jen would do.
It's a good story that wraps up well. Its concept is what makes it memorable to me. The writing is good, and while not perfect definitely fun.
