DNF. Charmaine cheats on Stan with Max. She makes this decision in 3 seconds. Stan finds "the note" that Joceylin writes and instantly fantasizes about her. Charmaine's job is giving people lethal injections, which she has NO PROBLEM with. Trysts: Everything is a set-up. The company is harvesting body parts. No they're selling life like sex dolls. Sneak Stan out? Tip Toe Thru The Tulips.
Obviously the author wrote this while on anesthesia/LSD and shrooms.
If Ian Reid TOOK A DUMP and Atwood said, "I can use that!"

I will say that this book definitely kept me interested! I couldn’t put it down because there was a LOT going on that I was trying to keep up with. It wasn’t my favorite Margaret Atwood book but she does tell such a descriptive story which is why I’ll never stop exploring the worlds she creates. But I think the ending here was just kind of bumpy. And, random main takeaway but, I just really wish I ever got to understand true Jocelyn’s personality!!!
dark funny tense

Very very weird also very funny. The heart is the last thing with agency? And Charmaine wants it to be the only free thing of hers ig

This book stuck with me.

My first Atwood, it won't be my last!
challenging dark medium-paced

This was disturbingly believable. Charmaine reminds me way too much of my mother.
