This seemed like a uniquely curious story, and then it became an erotic fever dream and I thought for sure I’m far into the story and can last until it ends - only to discover I was only 31% done. I kept going and eventually quit at 40%. It wandered around and seemed to lose its focus too often. I didn’t care what happened next anymore.

I've never read an Atwood novel that wasn't well written but this one was especially enjoyable. Love to see the twists coming but she writes it in a way that you actually weren't expecting.
