I was able to connect well with the main character in her growth and all the challenges she's faced with. Similar to how many issues women are faced with.

I LOVED this book, any time I had to put it down was time spent glaring into the ether for the injustice suffered. I was immediately so invested in These characters, I felt so connected to all of them and I would cheer for Fengli, Gracie, and Sam until my voice was gone… even then imagine proverbial Pom poms. The character growth was so beautifully done that even when she wasn’t ready to stand up for herself I was still rooting for her and wanting that happily ever after so much. When she did ? I may have cried happy tears a bit. And this book showed character growth in so many ways ! I will never stop recommending this and I’m so grateful I got to live in this world for a little bit 🩷

When mega star Wei Fangli feels burned out she turns to nobody lookalike Gracie Reed to stand in for some parties and social functions.
Filling in for Wei Fangli, Gracie is exposed to parties and clothes and people she would never have encountered in her real life. But when the lines between her promise to Wei Fangli starts to blur with her personal feelings about deceiving people, Gracie must make some decisions for herself.

This was a cute story, with a fun little twist at the end.

This was cute and fun — I think I need to listen to Philippa Soo's narration to get the full experience someday.
