I think I liked this when I was younger? I tried to reread though and I couldn't get trough it. The protagonist is a very unlikable hypocrite.

Reading "The Selection" is like eating a candy bar- insipid, regretful, and not at all beneficial for your health.

Interesting book if you don't take it seriously. However the audiobook narrator made it feel like Siri was reading to me.

Maxon is so…. PERFECT!!! Idk why the author had to leave off on a cliffhanger but if I have to read all the books now
Also:
Aspen=Gale Hawthorn
Maxon=Rhysand (ACOTAR)

I really enjoyed this book. The plot itself is interesting. Thirty-Five young women having to try and win the heart of the prince. Sounds pretty cool. But what I don't like is how America is so 'I forgive you' to Aspen. I mean, he left her crying in a tree house and as soon as he comes running back she lets him kiss her. I mean, yeah, she puts a stop to it, but still! Good night, and Maxon is so much nicer. I guess since he's been dating other girls though, it kind of puts a damper on things. But I still like him better than Aspen, but of course, there must be a love triangle. *Sigh* But I will read the next book because the plot is pretty good with the rebels from the north and south. And I really like the maids, and May. 3 out 5 stars
