Hot and Mysterious
Wow!!! Maddie’s story is starting out with a bang. 4 Hot and Mysterious Mafia Men. Of course we already knew she has history with Matteo from Lainey’s series but then you add in Dante, Leo, and Aries she is going to have a wild ride as she tries to live her life by the fullest. This is only the first book but you can still tell it is also the start of what’s to come. So much drama is on the horizon. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

nice one, but I had a couple of issues with this book
- why is it not mentioned on the page that it's part of another series and it's not a standalone?
- I get the whole reverse harem scenario, but how many love interests can one have. this is taking it a bit too far and it no longer seems plausible.

very very very mixed feelings on this
i absolutely loved the beginning.
but when she moves into mateos appartment and matteo starts acting like a douche made me want to die. if mateo was such a rude human being this would be a 5/5. the cliffhanger is the only reason i will be reading the 2bd book. also maddie made me so mad like why was she talking to matteo after he treated her like poop? i think mateo is the biggest problem in this book

4.5/Stars
This book started out a little slow for me and I was confused at the characters of “who is who” for a bit. Once I got to chapter 3, everything started to come together. Maddie the FMC, is so sweet and innocence pours from her. She is smart and lonely with the loss of her father and her mother shipping her and her sister away she feels cut-off. But now she is summering in the City and for the first time in a while that means parties and friends. Her sister Mary seems distant, mean even, and her cousin Lainey is hidden away with her three boyfriends due to other dangers. So she is unsure of herself it seems, but in other ways she seems very sure. The guys that confused me at first: Matteo (her once boyfriend); Leo (Matteo’s twin brother); Dante (Matteo’s and Leo’s friend/cousin). These guys all want her and she wants them, however their Mafia lifestyle comes calling while catching her in the crosshairs. Once again I get fully invested by the end and don’t even see the cliff coming. Ugh...October, you are Killing me Penelope, but I loved it.

I enjoyed this probably too much. The Brotherhood series was great but I think this just might beat that for me, but we will see.
I loved getting to see all the different men in the first book this time. Also, I definitely related to Maddie in more ways than one. These tattooed mafia men have a hold on my heart already!

What a ride!
After reading The Brotherhood series, Maddie's story is a wonderful view into the crazy story of what else is going on. I could not put it down.
From the very start, it was gripping and full of unexpected twists. I have so many questions but I am very happy to be back in the craziness!
After an end like that, I am counting down until book 2!! Can't wait to see what happens.
