I LOVED THIS BOOK. Maddie is a spunky firecracker of a young woman & she knows how to capture your attention from the beginning. This is a spin-off series from The Brotherhood & it was done so well. I was so excited for Maddie's series when I was reading The Brotherhood. Maddie gets caught up with the mafia because of her cousin & aunt. She also has someone from her past she wanted to forget but she ends up needing his help. There are so many plot twists & secrets in this book that I am super pumped to see where the rest of this series leads us. The sexual tension between Maddie & all of her men is sooooo hot. I was super thankful that we got a little more steam in this series!! I already love Maddie's men so much & the protectiveness of them is to die for. This does have some darker themes so please keep that in mind, but I felt like it was done so well that I just wanted more of it. This book was so addicting I couldn't put it down!! I am so obsessed with this world & I feel like the author did such a great job interconnecting these series without giving too much away. I highly recommend this one!

Besides the fact that this felt like I was dropped into book two, I thought it was really good. I read The Brotherhood prior to this (though it’s been several dozen books ago), but I was still super lost. There’s whole swaths of info the author left our, and I can’t see any good reason for her to do so. It was so confusing and felt like we were getting half a story. Even though Maddie was the actual one getting kidnapped, we don’t see ANY of it! It’s lazy writing, plain and simple. And frustrating as hell as a reader because we don’t know what’s going on. I can’t imagine coming into this without reading The Brotherhood. You’d be completely lost.
I like all the guys, though we haven’t delved into them much—and the twist at the end. Yeah, I’m here for that.

I am so excited we are getting Maddie’s story she is honestly a true romantic and her and Matteo have a past and her hurt her. Now they are thrown back together and of course the sparks are still there but enter Dante and Leo… along with our mystery man Aires! Maddie has attraction to them all and why the heck not! This is just the beginning of this new series and I feel like we have barely scratched the surface with what is going on. The chemistry between all these characters the sexual tension and the push/pull is phenomenal. I love that we get all the action, drama and mystery to keep us guessing and on the edge of our seat from the very beginning. I cannot wait for the next book In The series because that freaking Cliff hanger was a shocker I never saw coming! Highly recommend you grab this one and if you haven’t read The Brotherhood Series grab that too!!

Honestly I wasn’t a fan of this book. I normally love mafia romances and reverse harems are good when they’re done well but there was something about this book that just didn’t do it for me.
It ends on a cliffhanger but I’m not invested enough in the characters to read the next one.

all i have to say is this book is so boring i had to force myself to get through it, hoping it’d get more interesting and pick up in the second book. and sure in terms of the plot it picked up but it was still so goddamn boring.
