I don't know why I didn't expect this to be funny. It was funnier than I could've expected. He weaves the stories about his early childhood in South Africa in with the political, economic and cultural of the 90s. You can hear Trevor speaking through in his antidotal way. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Trevor Noah is hilarious. His upbringing was so radically different from mine that his stories really provide new insights for me. If at all possible listen to the audiobook and listen to Trevor imitate different voices of family and friends.

Loved the book ! Trevor's style of storytelling and stories of his childhood in Apartheid and the ability to see the humour in some of the most grim scenarios let me devour this book quickly. His ability to acknowledge his prejudice even with everything he was experience is what makes his perspective unique. A big fan of Trevor and an even bigger fan of his mom .
