andrea gibson's poetry is very special to me. my wife took me to see her perform at a little venue in our college town when we were undergraduate babies and only dating. i was blown away and i'm pretty sure i sobbed almost the entire time in between sips of a room-temperature PBR.
my favorite poem from this collection is "Queer Youth are Five Times More Likely to Die by Suicide".
