Really cute, I enjoyed this a lot! Had a fun twist involving time travel. Story flowed well. Loved the Pittsburgh references.
Audrey from 2023, heartbroken student and aspiring artist lacking inspiration, befriends Lucy from 1812, an upper class girl controlled by her father and societal expectations.
They learn similarities and differences about each other and the societal ways of the time periods they’re from. As they spend their limited time together in such unusual circumstances, they discover deeper things about themselves and what they want from life.
(Important note: not based around Pride and Prejudice and is not based in Pittsburgh for the majority)

I have a hard time not being angry at stories that wouldn't work if the characters just communicated better. But I love a good sapphic meet-cute.

I shouldn’t read romance novels targeted at teenagers. Most YA genres I can appreciate just fine, but romance? No.
I picked up this book because I have a little crush on Pittsburgh right now, but the title fooled me. this book doesn't really have anything to do with Pittsburgh and the characters hardly spend any time there. in fact, I don't believe this story has much to do with pride and prejudice either. but whatever, it's a fine ya sapphic romance.

Lucy is an English lady of 1812, raised to always do what is expected of her. Audrey is a teenager in present day Pittsburgh, dealing with a breakup and being waitlisted for art school... until she wakes up in the middle of Lucy's field- in 1812.
Lucy takes Audrey in and teacher her how to exist in 1812. For the first time in a long time, Audrey is filling pages with sketches. For the first time ever, Lucy is making decisions for herself and actually having fun.
This is an amazing adventure through time and love. This is the fourth book I've read by Lippincott, and, honestly, I just can't get enough. Her characters are so well developed that I could be reading about real people. Their pain is mine, as is their joy, their decisions, and their love.

4.5 rounded to 5 because this author knew EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED!!!!!!!!!! I was getting a bit frustrated with the miscommunication, but like........,, it was a bit necessary. Love love love love love.
Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh was a cute time travel romance.
Likes: The back and forth POV, though at times I wish I could have stayed with one character for more than one chapter at a time.
The realistic slow build of affection and regard between the two main characters. Despite everything taking place in less than a month, it took until the last few days for both characters to truly understand and accept their feelings.
The acknowledgement that sapphic romances did take place in history, even though we don't hear about too many of them.
Dislikes: The sheer amount of "handsome supporting male cast." It was a bit ridiculous, and completely unbelievable, that so many men from 1812 would be affable and understanding about a woman being so capricious about their advances AND on top of that, their being second to a sapphic romance. Also, the plot didn't need all of these male characters to rescue or assist the protagonists, one possible "love interest" would have sufficed. Though, I admit that it felt nice to read a period piece where more people were rooting for the main characters romantic attachment than against it.
Things I'm mixed about: The ending. Mr. Montgomery. I just have so many questions I'd like answered but it wasn't the time/place for it, and I understand that.
All in all, I enjoyed this book, it read very quickly, and I felt happy and satisfied when it ended.
