Really cute, fluffy, feel good queer YA romance.

This was so cute.

It’s Pride and Prejudice meets Bridgerton but with a time travel twist. It was so sweet and I loved it.

Give me YA sapphic all day everyday. But time travel, Jane Austen x Bridgerton x Outlander vibes with slow burn yearning.... oh my sweet gay heart. But also, kiss kiss kiss already. Add this to my list of favorite YA books, Rachael is easily becoming a go to author for me.

Can I admit that I was a little disappointed? I LOVE Pride and Prejudice and have read that book more times than I can count. I’ve also read a couple of books by Rachael Lippincott that I’ve really liked. Add the fact that this is a sapphic romance and, well, that just increases my hype. I didn’t even mind the time travel element of it. But this isn’t Pride and Prejudice. Like not at all. And I can’t help but feel a bit duped by it all? I enjoyed what I read, but I kept hoping to find the connection to the novel it claims and it just wasn’t there.

I don’t have any other major complaints. It was a fun read. It’s a book I’d likely like more after a reread now that I’d know what to expect. Or not expect in this case.
