Dit tweede deel vond ik beter dan het eerste deel. Er komt een extra laag bij, en dat vond ik mooi en ook zeer welkom. Nog steeds merk je dat het duidelijk een YA boek is, maar door de extra laag bleef het wel interessant voor mij.

Again, following suit from book #1 — a solid 3 stars. It’s fast paced and there is a lot of energy. The story twisted a bit toooo much but I think book 3 will bring it all together (hopefully!).

Avery’s love interest made no sense tbh. I think we were all rooting for Grayson ??? I’m not sure how she ended up with Jameson ?? Like ?????? I am confusion. I want even more of Xander, he is easily top 3 characters. And Xander and May PLEASE. MORE. Loved Zara’s little character development. I was hoping to get more action out of her post letter reading but beggars can’t be choosers, I suppose. I would also like to know what happened between Alisa and Nash just because I’m nosy. Also LOL but I can’t stop picturing country cowboy tinder fish-holdin’ Nash and rainbow haired goth girly Libby together. It is just so cute and funny to me.

I loved how the layers of the games and relationships with the characters were beginning to be revealed with the different games presented as Avery embraced her inheritance.
