A different type of read for me but gave what it needed to. Accidental pregnancy trope but it had its own twist in it which made it stand out more. Like I still think about Jaxon/Emma.

Reading Jacob’s point of view as he tried to push Megan away was really sad to read. I definitely understood where he was coming from but it was so frustrating to see that he couldn’t get the big picture of what staying with Megan would mean for his life. I’m so glad he was able to confide in Martin and get the insight he needed to make the right choices in his relationship with Megan.
Both Jaxon and Megan have internal struggles they have to work through and both have great support systems in their families and friends. The story shows that letting your friends in can help lighten the burden of traumas and self doubts.
I’m glad Jaxon acknowledged he had traumas he needed to work through and decided to reach out to a professional for the help he needed.
Overall a good read with a nice happy ending.

Drawn to Mr King by Elle Nicoll. This is book three in the series. The main story was around Jaxon and Megan. I loved this story it had all the emotions anger, happiness, drama, sadness, hope, love, romance, grief and spice. I enjoy still having the characters from book 1 and 2, so you can see how the characters continue us to grow. I highly recommend this book.
Elle has done it again. Her third book in The Men Series, Drawn to Mr King, is so incredible and emotional. Her writing is simply beautiful, filled with words that are so affecting and moving while also having some dirty talking men in some spicy scenes.
Mr Jaxson King is an older, successful man. He is an Alpha male who also has an emotional and compassionate side. His father died of cancer and that has been extremely impactful on his life and his choices. Megan is sweet, strong, and creative. She is completely driven by her work. She has been the assistant but now is her time to shine. First it was with her hotel artwork which is how Megan and Jaxson initially meet and hook up. Then it is with a children’s book which is how Megan and Jaxson are reunited.
“Love isn’t perfect. It isn’t always easy, but it’s beautiful and raw, and right now, it’s consuming my body, just like my need for him.”
This book was brilliant! I had so many different emotions reading it. It seems cliche to say that Megan and Jaxson’s journey was a roller coaster ride, but that is exactly what it was. It was frustrating (but in a good way) at times, every time I thought they were going to figure things out, something would keep them apart. This poignant story deals with a few real life sensitive problems that make the story that much more heartbreaking. I cried for both of these characters and what they have gone through.
Elle has written a beautiful story of pain, angst, anger, grief, fear and love. And we don’t see those between just the two main characters, but the supporting characters and their friendship with the main characters was just as beautiful. Megan and Jaxson’s chemistry was fire
