So cute! Read it in two sittings! I appreciated that the author touched on the emotional abuse that Alexis suffered at her mother's hand specifically. There was a lot going on for Alexis during her final "wake up" scene, and her mother's role in controlling and manipulating her could have easily been brushed aside.
