I enjoyed this a lot. It felt like a k-drama mystery show and it kept me reading through the night just so i can see how the mystery will unfold. Definitely recommend.

I cant express how enjoyable reading it was, i felt as if i was watching a Korean historical drama.
June Hur’s writing, narrative and characters are absolutely beautiful. I liked the story so much that right after reading the author’s note, i went and placed an order for “Memoirs of Lady Hyegyoung”.

I don't usually enjoy murder mysteries, but I do like historical fiction, and this one is excellent on both counts. The YA aspect keeps the murder plot from being overwhelmingly gruesome, and the setting of imperial Korea is fascinating. Beyond this, the characters are well developed and a pleasure to follow.
